She will play a married woman, who has a very supportive husband and two children. She wanted to become a sportswoman but her fate leads her to politics. In the coming episode, she will have an encounter with Gunjan (Roopal Tyagi), who is taking a stand against eve-teasing and teaching the goons a lesson. Shalini will appreciate Gunjan’s effort.
In later episode, it would be seen that Shalini is highly ambitious woman, who uses her goodness to manipulate people and get her work done. Shalini can go to any lengths to get what she wants. She will eventually be negative and will harbor sinister ambitions.
Explaining about her role, Divya said, “I don't know if the character will turn negative. All I can say is that the character sketch prompted me to take up the offer. We always blame politicians for everything wrong and do nothing to change the scenario. It's a nice role.”
