Make your hair free from dryness this summer!

Since it’s the peak summer season, people are seen covering their hair with scarves and stoles. Summers bring in a lot of tangles, frizz, oil content on scalp and breakage of hair. One should always apply oil and massage the scalp for quite some time before shampooing hair if you have dry hair.

In case you have dry hair and you shampoo almost every day, then we must warn you to stop doing that before your hair actually fall off. It is said, to make hair healthier and even aid hair growth, oiling is the best help. Some aromatherapy essential oils are chamomile, eucalyptus, geranium, lavender, lemon, peppermint, rosemary, sandalwood, tea-tree, ylang-ylang, bergamot, dill, fennel and jasmine.

Here are some home remedies for dry hair:

Gentle cleanser
1. Beat an egg in skimmed milk and apply it on your scalp. Keep it on for 5 minutes and wash off with water. Follow this process twice in a week.

2. Take a cup of coconut milk; add two tablespoons of gram flour or one teaspoon of shikakai. Apply on scalp and hair. Rinse it out after five minutes. Follow this recipe at least once a week.

Protein Conditioner
Beat one tablespoon each of castor oil, glycerine, cider vinegar and protein, plus a tablespoon of mild herbal shampoo. Apply it on your scalp and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with clear water.

Other tips for dry hair:
1. Most importantly access whether your hair is moisture dry or oily dry.

2. Always condition your hair.

3. Don’t ever comb vigorously if your hair is dry.
