After making a dynamic appearance in comedy shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil and Comedy Circus Ke Mahabali, superstar Akshay Kumar is slated to land on the sets of SAB TV’s very popular Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma, to promote his film Boss. Patrakar Popatlal (Shyam Pathak) will attend a press conference for Boss, post which he will invite the actor to Gokuldham society

As seen, the Gokuldham society is celebrating Navratri and decided to celebrate Navratri with dholkis and shehnais, however, the society members would be unsuccessful in setting up a dholki and shehnai for playing garba. Akshay Kumar will step in at that moment and offer help, hence, resolving the issue. The actor will not only perform aarti and but also play garba with the entire cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

An excited Disha Vakani aka Daya Ben on the show said after the culmination of the shoot that they had a gala time with the actor. “This time we had decided to celebrate dandiya in a very traditional manner and besides the clothing, we also decided to get dholwala instead of a DJ to do garba. Akshay came to our rescue and brought in musicians from his event to help us celebrate.”

Daya Ben, better known as garba queen on the show, will be seen teaching Akshay Kumar how to play perfect garba.

Breather has come for Akshay Kumar’s upcoming release Boss, as on Friday, Delhi High Court put away a PIL seeking a stay on the release of the film after its director Anthony D’Souza assured that the objectionable word in a song, sung by Yo Yo Honey Singh in the film, has been muted.

For those unaware, the decision came from a division bench of Chief Justice N.V. Ramana and Justice Manmohan. "The word in the song has been muted and the Central Board of Film Certification has issued a certificate in this regard on Oct 9," counsel for the producer told the court. The film will hit the theatres on October 16.

It is learnt that Sanjay Bhatnagar, who is a practicing lawyer, filed the PIL, through counsel R.D. Rana, who further asked how the song with vulgar lyrics was released without Censor Board's approval. The plea stated that the song sung by rapper Honey Singh had a vulgar word and it is being shown on various TV channels and other media.

Bhatnagar had sought that the release of the film gets suspended till either the words or the song is deleted completely from the film.

It was a lively episode when Anil Kapoor visited Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 7 for the promotions of his TV series 24. Now, if believe the sources, the show would soon witness a grand entry of Khiladi hero Akshay Kumar and veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, who will come to promote their forthcoming action-thriller Boss.

The reality show, aired on Colors, seems to have become the favorite destination for many actors to promote their films and serials. Earlier, it was Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz, who come to promote their film Phata Poster Nikla Hero.

Akshay Kumar will appear second time on the show after his appearance on the premiere night of the show on Sep 15. Actor Mithun Chakraborty, who had hosted Bigg Boss Bangla, might also enter the house and meet contestants.

The show currently has participants like, VJ Andy, Gauhar Khan, Kushal Tandon, Apoorva Agnihotri and his wife Shilpa, Tanisha Mukherje, Anita Advani, Armaan Kohli, Asif Azim, Sangram Singh, Elli Avram, Ratan Rajput, Kamya Punjabi and Pratyusha Banerjee.

Comedy Nights with Kapil, produced and hosted by Kapil Sharma, is one of the most popular shows on Indian TV and its TRP topped the charts. Many well known celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and others have appeared on the show to promote their film.

As per the latest TRP records, the show has once again topped the non-fiction charts and has surged ahead of Salman Khan's TV show Bigg Boss 7. Although all eyes were glued to TV screens as Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was returning with season 7 of controversial reality show Bigg Boss, but it seems Kapil Sharma’s stints have overshadowed Salman's charm with Comedy Nights with Kapil.

We must say Kapil is blessed with the talent of comedy and there is not an iota of doubt that he is one of the most-hard working performers in the television industry today. He is responsible for all your hearty laughs. Even, the new synonymous to laughter is leading ahead of Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati.

As per the Gross TVT's of Week 38, Comedy Nights with Kapil recorded 7244, Kaun Banega Crorepati- 6134 and Bigg Boss 7 got 5456.

As we all know, the show has recently suffered a huge loss, when fire broke on the sets of the comedy show causing huge loss. However, nothing looks like stopping the comic actor and producer of CNWK Kapil Sharma from reaching new heights.

Krian Media Ltd today announced that it had bagged the International Distribution rights for the Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Akshay Kumar starrer Boss. The film will be released in over 400 screens worldwide, including Europe, North America, South East Asia and Australia, amongst others. Boss is scheduled to release overseas on 16th October 2013.

The acquisition marks an important milestone for Krian Media as it is the first big budget mainstream Bollywood movie that it has acquired for international distribution. In a short span since its inception Krian Media Ltd., in addition to having acquired and released G.I. Joe, it has also acquired two Tollywood and two Mollywood films for USA distribution of which it has already released one Malyalam film. Krian also recently acquired A.R. Murugadoss and Fox Star Studios Raja Rani for a Pan USA release.

Looking at the potential of international markets, Raj Malik, Vice President, Film Acquisition & Distribution, Krian Media, stated, “It is no secret that with the explosion of India internationally, Indian cinema has also been breaking newer barriers and crossing over to many more international markets. Likewise International cinema has also been increasingly making its presence felt at the Indian Box office and we at Krian Media endeavour to become the ideal channel of choice for both the above.

“In this context, the ‘Boss’ deal is significant to us not just because it is our first acquisition of a mainstream big budget Bollywood movie, but it is also the first movie that we would be distributing globally and not just in the US markets,” Mr. Malik added.

Boss is Krian Media Ltd.’s second association with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, the first being G.I. Joe which released in India on 27th March 2013.

Produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Cape Of Good Films and Ashwin Varde Productions and directed by Anthony D’Souza, Boss is an action comedy starring Akshay Kumar and Aditi Rao Hydari and is slated for a 16 October, 2013 release.

People got irked when they found that Ekta Kapoor’s much controversial historical show Jodha Akbar is showcasing a false story and picture of two protagonists, Mewar princess Jodha and Mugal King Akbar. First they demanded the filmmaker to change the names of the character, but when it didn’t happen, Shri Rajput Karni Sena in Rajasthan announced that they will not let Ekta Kapoor release her film OUATIMD in the state.

The release date of Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan starrer OUATIMD was 1st August, all over the nation. To sort out the matter, Ekta especially flew down to Jaipur on August 15 around 12 noon, had a meeting with the Rajput Karni Sena members and its chief Lokendra Singh Kalvi.

“We never had any intentions of hurting anybody's feelings through our show. But if it, in any manner has hurt anybody I sincerely apologize for it. As far as the name of the show is concerned, we are ready to change the name from Jodha Akbar to only Akbar. We are also ready to change the name of the characters,” assured Ekta.

She also agreed to not use the terms Kshatriya or Rajput in the serial, but added, “We cannot stop the show since we have contractual obligations. But if the channel refuses to make changes, Balaji as the production company will withdraw from the show.”

It was only after this OUATIMD, which was supposed to be screened at the morning shows, could be screened. “Yes, only after her confirmation and Sena chief's approval, the film has been released in almost 70 screens across the state,” said film distributor Sanjay Chatar of Marudhar Entertainment.

It is really to wonder what is happening wrong with Bollywood actors these days. As a short span of time we’ve heard dozen of injury cases on the shooting sets. 

Recently, Akshay Kumar got injured badly on the sets of Thuppakki remake and Shahrukh Khan too on the sets of Chennai Express. The lead pair of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ranbir Kapoor injured his back while training for Bombay Velvet, whereas his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone bruised her feet dancing on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ramleela.

Last day, it was also informed that Arjun Rampal was badly injured while shooting for the high-octane action flick D-Day of Nikhil Advani at Film City. Now, the latest to ink her name in injured list of B-town actors is Shruti Hassan, who was left bruised while shooting for Prabhu Deva’s Ramaiya Vastavaiya.

Shruti who was in deep conversation with director Prabhu Deva over some crucial scenes of the film, slipped and fell into the adjacent swimming pool. She was hurt badly and had to be rushed to the nearest hospital.

Sources said, “Shruti was discussing a few scenes with Prabhu Deva when she happened to slip and fall into the pool, hitting her legs hard against the concrete in the bargain. She had to be rushed to the hospital immediately and has been advised a few days of bed rest before she resumes shooting”

The film also stars debutant Girish Kumar, Sonu Sood and is scheduled to release on 19th July 2013.
