Television actor Mohit Raina seems to have become synonymous to the character of Lord Shiva playing it commendably in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, as he has also been appointed to reprise this role in Star Plus’ magnum opus Mahabharat, produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary. Mohit says it feels great to be part of this epic series.

An excited Mohit said, “It feels good to be a part of Mahabharat. I was an avid follower of the original series. So, it was a great opportunity to become part of the ongoing edition. I shot for a few hours and it was a great experience. I wish them all the best.”

Upon being asked if given chance what he would like to act in the historical saga. He averred, “I would like to play Karna because, the complexities of this character intrigues me. He is commonly perceived as the anti-hero yet he did everything like the real hero of a story. From being a suta putra to becoming the king of Angad and the realisation of his lineage -- that he is the eldest Pandava -- he bore all his curses with elan and roared like a lion on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. If it wasn't for the politics and manipulation, he would have remained unbeatable. Hence, it would have been a real challenge to get to play him. Also, some people think after Shiva, I'm an ideal Karna.”

Tarun Khanna to play Raavan in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev!

It was updated earlier that actor Manish Wadhwa, who was roped in to play Raavan in Life OK’s Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, has walked out from the show as he has bagged some other show.

Meanwhile, the makers of the mythological drama were busy dealing with the track of Jalandhar and Mahadev’s (Mohit Raina) big fight. Now that the track is to wrap up, the focus will shift to Raavan and to play the role actor Tarun Khanna has stepped into Manish Wadhwa's shoes.

Sources say that with the Ramayana track opening up in Mahadev..., the character of Raavan will become pivotal. So, the makers had no option but to hunt for Manish's replacement.

Meanwhile, Manish said, "I had to quit the show since I was unwell. I underwent a surgery for kidney stones. Though I have recovered now, I am looking forward to my new project."

Life OK’s popular legendary series Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev helmed by Triangle Films Company is soon to see the track of Ramayan opening up in the show. But prior to that, viewers will get to see the much Yudh between Jalandhar and Mahadev (Mohit Raina).

In the whole one will see how Vrinda (Neha Marda) performs the puja requisite to protect Jalandhar. But she will be all baffled to see Mahadev in the disguise of Jalandhar. She will be upset as her purity is spoilt and curses Mahadev. She will then take Jal Samadhi, only to be blessed by Mahadev that she will always remain pure and worshipped.

On the other end, Vrinda’s absence will break Jalandhar and he will hell bent on seeking revenge from Mahadev. The battle led by him will first make him fight with Shiv putra Karthikeya first. Ganesh too will try and defeat Jalandhar but the two will fail in doing so. This is when Mahadev will enter the battle field. Meanwhile, Parvati (Sonarika Bhadoria) vows that she will open her eyes only when she gets back her memory. While Jalandhar and Mahadev fight in the battleground, Parvati will get back her memory and she will break the imaginary cave of Jalandhar.
