Telly favorite Gurmeet Chaudhary is likely to make Bollywood debut in the directorial debut of choreographer Swaroop Raj Medara. The film would be based on dance and Gurmeet, well known for his dancing skills (winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and currently seen in Nach Baliye) would see playing a dancer. The film is expected go on the floor in March or April 2014.

On being quizzed about the report, Gurmeet said, “I have been approached for the film and had a meeting with the makers but it is not finalised yet because I have not said yes or no yet; I want to focus only on Nach Baliye season 6 as of now.” The Geet actor also informed that he is currently in talks with others directors for his debut film. He said he has had meetings with a couple of more directors and producers since Punar Vivah (Zee TV) ended. “Other than dance films, I have been getting a lot of offers for romantic and action films, too,” averred Gurmeet.

Talking about his currently show Nach Baliye, Gurmeet says he is not busy rehearsing or shooting for Nach Baliye, he has been busy meeting film makers. “I am biding my time and not taking up television offers; I don't want to be burned out like I was while doing Punar Vivah along with Jhalak 5. I can also dedicate time to meet film directors and producers," he says. However, his wife and actress Debina Bonnerjee cannot say the same since she is also doing SAB TV's Chidiya Ghar. "It's tougher for her since she has to manage both the shows and we need to rehearse for about eight hours every day. She is working very hard,” said Gurmeet.

If latest pictures of the contestants are anything to go by, the action promises to be bolder and edgier this season in Nach Baliye. But according to Shilpa Shetty, who will again judge couple dance reality show, the new season is about romance and passion and has no vulgar content. The show will launch on November 9 and will air every Saturdays and Sundays.

The actress said, “You are misunderstanding the whole concept. When we talk about passion, it does not mean vulgar. Passion is a part of every marriage, every relationship and romance. If you remove romance, there is no fun.”

The 38-year-old was speaking on Friday at the launch of the show's new season, where she was accompanied by her co-judges director Sajid Khan and choreographer Terence Lewis.

Sajid Khan said, Nach Baliye 6 promises dance infused with a lot of romance and passion. “There will be romance through dance, they will be marked on the basis of their dance, the audiences will vote looking at their dance. It's not Valentine's Day special. Romance is a theme, but it is a dance show,” said Sajid.

Television actress Sargun Mehta, last seen in Nach Baliye and Kya Huaa Tera Vaada, is set to carry forward the role of Ganga in Balika Vadhu after Sriti Jha, who originally played Ganga, had quit the show.

Sargun is excited about the show and took to micro-blogging website Twitter to make the announcement. “Hey guys! I have a news - I am back and this time on one of the most loved show Balika Vadhu on Colors at 8 p.m. as Ganga. Do try and watch,” she tweeted.

Sargun, who made her small screen debut with 12/24 Karol Bagh and also did Phulwa, says she likes the simplicity of her character Ganga, but confesses that she is completely opposite to Ganga in real life. “Balika Vadhu is a show that I have followed since my college days. I always wanted to be part of it. The character is very simple and homely and I never thought I would ever be offered such a role as I'm completely opposite in real life... I am looking forward to working in Balika Vadhu,” she averred.

Sargun participated in Nach Baliye 5 with her actor-boyfriend Ravi Dubey.  She added, “Yes, I am very happy. This is one show I have always wanted to be a part of. It is a respectable show which I have followed since my college days. I never thought I would get offered such a role as Ganga is very docile and homely and I am very chirpy and outgoing in real life. I am excited about my stint in Balika Vadhu.”

In the upcoming episodes of Balika Vadhu, the focus will be on Ganga and Jagya's love life.

The journey to television industry’s most sizzling dance couple has begun with full conviction by all the contestants of Nach Baliye, which is expected to go on air in December. The shooting of second episode was being shot that had turned a painful act for telly couple Asha Negi and Rithvik Dhanjani, who hurt themselves while shooting.

As per the sources, they were performing on the hit Aashiqui 2 number Tuhi yeh mujko batade chahun main ya na. “It was a sensational performance which earned the couple good scores and excellent comments from all the three judges. However, a sudden mishap in the middle of the performance left both of them injured.

The accident happened during the performance but they both managed to finish their dance number. Asha who was on a trolley had to jump and Rithvik had to catch her when this mishap occurred. However, it was a noteworthy presentation and they even got good remarks

Rithvik had a head injury and got about five stitches while Asha got 12 stitches on her injured chin. Rithvik tweeted, “Adventurous nd a little painful strt to the journey jus returned home frm the hospital with a few stitches 12 for @AshaNegi7 nd 5 fr myself.”

The good news is that the couple is not planning to leave the show – thank god for that! Rithvik wrote on his twitter page confirming this, “And guys we both are fine but yes please keep us in your prayers, may be its just bad timing but it’s all false that we’d quit.”

Bhojpuri famous item girl Sambhavna Seth is set to heat up Bollywood, having an item song in John Abraham starrer Welcome Back. She is elated for the big-ticket item number and proudly says now she has her own item number.

Talking about the song and experience of working with John, she said, “The song is called Main Bubbly Hui, Tu Bunty Hua, Kamre Mein 20-20 Hua. The entire experience was wonderful. John is such a humble fellow with no starry tantrums at all. The song is a huge, huge jump for my career. Even though I was doing so many live performances, I did not have that one number which I could call my own. Now, I can proudly say that I have my own song.”

Though she enjoys her image of item girl, Sambhavna now is looking forward to break this and try her luck in acting. “I would like to break away from the item girl image. Lekin iska matlab yeh nahi hai ke I would break away from dancing. Dancing mujhse koi chheen nahi sakta, yeh image bhi nahi koi le sakta. I've always wanted to establish myself as an actor but have never gotten the opportunity. Now, I want to do television shows. Saas-bahu sagas, positive or negative role, any challenging character would do.”

Recently it was reported that telly couple Raqesh Vashisht and Ridhi Dogra has been finalized for the upcoming season of Nach Baliye. Now, latest it is gathered that our favorite actress Aakanksha Singh, who rose to fame with Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha season 1 and 2, has been approached along with her fiancé Kunal Sain to participate in the reality show, aired on Star Plus.

“Aakanksha Singh and Kunal Sain who recently got engaged, have been approached for Nach Baliye. The talks are on with them but no concrete decision is yet taken,” said sources.

We must say the forthcoming sixth season of the show is expected to feature one of the most popular Jodis of Indian television. Other names of jodis that are making rounds are, Kanika Maheshwari and Ankur Ghai, Karan Singh Grover and Jennifer Winget Grover, Nakkul Mehta and Janki, Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee, Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal, Sourav Ganguly and Dona Ganguly, Shabbir Ahluwalia and Kanchi Kaul, Aashka Goradia and Rohit Bakshi, Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber, Pooja Gor and Raj Singh Arora, Master Chef India winner Ripudaman Handa and Shivangi.

The star telly couple Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Banerjee, a confirmed Jodi of Nach Baliye, are little worried as the forthcoming season six is going to be hotter, sensuous and high on oomph factor, a reason why some of the celebrities refused to do the show. The production team, giving the reason of the bold concept, says the concept will leave no scope for actors to fake their relationship as many actors did on the previous season.

If believe sources the choreographers have been instructed to design sensual acts. Some of them had reservations, but makers have managed to convince them. Gurmeet Choudhary expressing his concern about the theme said, “The performances will be romantic and intimate and we are a little worried about our family's and relatives' reaction. You have seen laughter king Kapil Sharma tickling down eveyone’s funny bones, and even saw him singing on various platforms, now if buzz goes correct then our favorite Kapil would come on the dance floor of Nach Baliye season 6 in an attempt to cash in on his ever-increasing popularity.

Sources close to the production team of Nach Baliye revealed that the team has approached Kapil, along with his alleged girlfriend Preeti Simoes, who is associated with his production house K9. The team member of K9 gushes over the chemistry and understanding of Kapil and Preeti, who have together been working for Kapil’s hit show Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors channel. They even claim that Preeti is the backbone of the show. She was also associated with Comedy Circus, which happens to be Kapil's debut show. However, they have kept their three-year-old relationship fiercely guarded.

“Kapil is arguably one of the most popular television celebrities. His presence in the show will materialise into high TRPs. We are trying our best to convince him to participate in Nach Baliye, this season,” said sources.

However, the couple might has refused doing Nach Baliye offer. Vibhor, creative director of Nach Baliye 6 confirms the news saying, “Yes, we had approached them, but they don't seem keen on taking it up.”

With the new season of Nach Baliye already on its way, the makers of the show have approached many popular faces, including Jennifer Winget, Nakuul Mehta, Sanaya Irani and Kanchi Kaul. And the latest on the board is, former cricket sensation Vinod Kambli, who is likely to be seen dancing on the tunes of peppy songs in the season 6, along with his wife Andrea.

Revealing about the casting of celebrities, sources close to the program said, “This season, the channel has got many popular faces on their TV shows and perhaps wants to cash in on their fame. That’s why before approaching other star couples, they are asking these people. It will be interesting for audiences to see Jennifer with her husband Karan Singh Grover, Sanaya with her boyfriend Mohit Sehgal, Nakuul with his wife Janki Mehta and Kanchi Kaul with her husband Shabbir Ahluwalia.

But Kanchi-Shabbir apparently has turned down the offer. On the other hand, Jennifer and Nakuul are considering it. Other than the biggest attraction, the fat pay cheque, the actors are also looking at working out their dates for the show, which is expected to launch in a few months.”

The contestants list of upcoming season of Nach Baliye is getting highly popular stars from television and Bollywood industries. And the latest couple on the board is none other than our favorite Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee. The couple, who played most good looking god-goddess Ram and Sita in Imagine TV’s Ramayan, have been finalised as one of the 13 celebrity Jodis this season, said reports.

Earlier, we have seen Gurmeet dancing on the floor of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, and he also participated with his wife Debina in Nach Baliye Sriman v/s Srimati. If the buzz is right, then Gurmeet and Debina will definitely be a tough competition for the rest of twelve Jodis.

Debina also confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I have been offered few reality shows, which I am planning to take up.” When asked further, whether she will be seen alone or with her husband Gurmeet on the show, she smiled and said, “I won't comment on that as the audiences have to wait and watch.”

Apart from them, Vivan Bhatena-Nikhila Palat and Mahesh Shetty-Anisha Kapoor have also been approached for the show. Vivan Bhatena on the other hand said, “I really refuse reality shows. My family is not cool with it.”
