This was my last season in IPL, announces Sachin Tendulkar!

on Monday at 02:33pm
With the big Indian Premier League (IPL) win against two-time champion Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians’ cricketer Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement from the BCCI-run tournament. He announced on Sunday announced that the current season of IPL will be his last.

“This is my last season. I’ve got to be realistic here. The journey has been fantastic and this is the icing on the cake!"

Never too late. It's a special moment. I can't wait to get hold of the trophy. Finally, we've been able to achieve our target. A big thank you to all the supporters. I think this is the right time to stop playing this tournament. I'm 40 and have to accept the reality. I have decided that this is my last season and it has ended perfectly. All the hard work has played off.

Things don't come easily and the guys were prepared to do well. The tournament is exciting but it's tiring as well. The body clock changes and there is no time to rest. With all that, a lot of adjustments are required and it has been a fantastic outing for us this year,” he said.

Wish you best for your upcoming endeavors!
