In past two years Star Plus’ numero uno show Diya Aur Baati Hum has beautifully encapsulated Sandhya's journey to becoming an IPS Officer. After surpassing through several hurdles, of being torn to pursue a career and fighting the opposition of a family, namely her mother-in-law Bhabho that opposed her dream, Sandhya is now finally move ahead to pursue her dream.

Yes, the show is now moving into its next phase with Sandhya's getting Bhabho's approval to pursue her IPS dream on a condition that her duties will always be towards her family first. 

Neelu Vaghela who plays the character Bhabho, about this new phase of life on the show, said, “From Bhabho's point of view, she only wanted the best for her son and family therefore was not approving of Sandhya's's career so far. However she has realised and agreed to let her daughter-in-law follow her IPS dream and also manage the house. It isn't easy for many to alter their ways of thinking but with changing times one must learn to accept and adapt the new. I hope Bhabho's move inspires many families to support their daughters and daughter in laws.”

Deepika Singh aka Sandhya averred, “Following your dream is never easy like in the case of Sandhya. Obstacles are part of the journey, but you have to be strong to go after what you believe and adapt to changing circumstances. It's a great moment for us in the show with Sandhya starting a new journey that will hopefully encourage many women like her to step out.”

The show will surely take an exciting turn and breathe a whole new life.

Star Plus’ numero uno Diya Aur Baati Hum is ahead to celebrate Rakshabandhan without letting the interest of the audience down.

As seen in the last few episodes that Suraj (Anas Rashid) has left home with better-half Sandhya (Deepika Singh) to fulfill her dreams of becoming an IPS officer, big question that comes here is that how will Chavi (Sehrish Ali) celebrate this rakhi without her bhaiya at home?

Well, as per sources, “In the upcoming tracks of the show, the Rathi family will be celebrating Rakshabandhan but Chavi will be upset because her brother Suraj, who loves and cares for her the most is not with her this time. There's a ritual to be followed in which the last rakhi of girl as an unmarried girl is celebrated on a big scale. Bhabho (Neelu Vaghela) tells Chavi that how her Mamasa celebrated this ritual in a grand way with dhols. Chavi is feeling upset because she feels that there is no chance for her brother to come and celebrate Rakhi in a grand way despite having lots of expectation from him.

Suddenly, the Rathi family hears loud beats of dhol and they all think that it might be happening at someone else's place. Later, they all notice that someone has come along with a doli, lots of gifts and dhol walas along in Hanuman Gali.”

Sehrish added, “Chavi has lots of expectations from his brother that he will definitely come on the day of the festival Rakshabandhan but she is upset that he is not with her this time.”
