Aamir Khan’s thought-provoking television series Satyamev Jayate is coming back with its season 2, which is likely to begin from January 2014. The much talked first season that enjoyed much success was initially launched last year, and amongst reports that the second season was to start in the middle of this year, this latest report sure sounds promising.

Turns out, Aamir's prior work commitment concerning Dhoom 3 had held him back. But knowing him to be the perfectionist he is, we're sure the show will launch soon. Now latest reports has that season 2 would be different in terms of telecast scheduling. Earlier, the 14 episodes in all that were telecast last season at a stretch, 13 were such that focused on sensitive issues like child abuse, female infanticide, domestic violence, et al and the last being the making of the show.

According to the source, Satyamev Jayate would likely to air certain number of episodes, which are supposed to be four at the moment- and take a small break, then come back again and the remaining episodes will be aired. The pattern will continue till the quota of all episodes in season 2 ends, said report.

Talking about the reason of this change, sources from the channel and the production house (Aamir Khan Productions) said that they together are planning to air the episodes in installments. “We usually have a lot of footage to edit on every topic which is a tedious job. Plus it’s not even easy to finalize the topics and collect material on the same. Hence, we’ve planned to take small breaks in between this season,” revealed a source.

Here’s we are hoping the new season will be as thought-provoking as the last!

Shahrukh Khan recreated history when his film Chennai Express broke the records of Aamir Khan’s film 3 Idiots. However, with Aamir’s upcoming chase-thriller Dhoom 3 all set to release at the end of this year, it is expected that all the previous records will be broken again.

Even Aamir believes that the Chennai Express record will be smashed in the next two months, while his film held the record for four years.

Says sources close to Aamir, “He is confident that D3 will shatter all records, in fact he has told someone close to him, ‘3 Idiots released in 2009 and it took them four years to break that record. and the record I set with ‘Dhoom 3’, will be broken by someone in 2020.’ Aamir is not one to make statements lightly. If he says something, you better believe he will deliver.”

Says trade analyst Komal Nahta, “The trade buzz is extraordinary for Dhoom 3. If you ask me whether D3 will break the records set by Chennai Express, then the answer is, yes, 100 per cent it will! Records are made only to be broken but the question is how soon? It took four years for the record of 3 Idiots to be broken, but I feel now records will be broken in a shorter time span.

There are too many multiplexes growing every year, ticket rates are being hiked and the overall business is on the upswing so records will break faster. Aamir will excel again in D3. The expectations are very high. For the first time people will see him in a negative role. He has worked on his body and gone through so much pain and effort. With every film Aamir takes his career five steps forward.

Now he has reached a stage where he wants to add a further dimension to his career. He has a certain reputation and that extends to his films. There is a craze for him. Time and again, he has proved his brilliance.”

Let’s see what actually happens!
