Bollywood actress Amrita Rao’s younger sister Preetika Rao is ready to follow her sister’s footsteps, but with a different medium. She is set make her acting debut, not in Bollywood but in small screen industry with Farhan Salaruddin production show for Colors. Writer Farhan Salaruddin earlier debuted as producer with the crisp and unique show Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadunga on Imagine TV.

According to the reports he is coming with a new show on Colors that is likely to go on air along with Saurabh Tewari’s (Nautanki Telefilms) Rang Rasiya, featuring Ashish Sharma and Sanaya Irani as leads. Both shows will fill the time slot when Bigg Boss season 7 ends.

Preetika, who is said to play a Muslim girl in the show that will be based on the background of the community, has been an important find for Colors who apparently feature in Anil Kapoor’s thriller 24. As per the sources, Preetika’s work in 24 caught the eyes of the channel and the pretty looking actress suited well into the character of a Muslim girl for the new show on Colors.

Buzz has that new face Harshad will play the male lead in this social drama.

Nothing seems to be going right got Zee TV’s Rab Se Sohna Isshq as apart from the numbers falling down for the daily, buzz has it that it might soon bite the dust.

Just a few days ago, it was updated that the show will bring in a generation leap post which the life of the leads, Ekta Kaul (Sahiba), Ashish Sharma (Ranveer/Fateh) and Kanan Malhotra (Daljeet) will see a tremendous change. It was even stated that they will be shown getting old and the new storyline will have the younger generation in focus.

But looks like nothing of this sort is to happen as the show is ready for a wrap up in June. Says a source, "The actors weren't willing to age on screen and play parents to grownups. Apart from that, the show isn't doing too well on the TRP chart. Hence the decision to pull the plug on it."

So far it has been heard that Ekta Kapoor's historical show Jodha Akbar will replace it. However, producer of Ran Se…Kinnari Mehta didn't confirm anything about the show going off air. Ajay Bhalwankar, programming head for the channel, said they aren't sure about the show getting replaced yet.

 As reported earlier too, Zee TV’s Rab Se Sohna Isshq, produced by Jay Productions is the next daily to take a giant leap in order to add some freshness to the current storyline and bag viewership.

Sources have stated that the show will be taking 18 years leap and is all set for a fresh love story. Meanwhile, all have been thinking what changes the casts will experience in the process. Updating on the same, sources reported that Ashish Sharma, who essayed the role of Ranveer, will now be seen playing the son of Ranveer and Sahiba (Ekta Kaul).

Also, Anuj Thakur, last seen in Imagine’s Beend Banoongaa Ghodi Chadhungaa will play the other lead in the show. Mansi Shrivastava, who was a part of Channel V’s Suvreen Guggal – Topper of the Year, will play the female lead. As seen in the story before leap, the post jump will also see a love triangle between the three leads. The shoot for the post leap story has already started and will be on air either on 31 May or 3 June 2013.

It’s time for another in Zee TV's Rab Se Sohna Isshq, and this time it is going to be big one, as the show is all set for a revamp in terms of story line. Recently the show had taken six years leap, and now the story will move forward by another 16 years!

As per sources, the story will then focus on the younger generation of Sahiba (Ekta Kaul) and Ranveer's (Ashish Sharma) son. The work on the casting process is on and a fresh new cast will be part of the post leap story.

Sources claim that Ekta will carry forward the story by playing the mother. However, Daljeet (Kanan Malhotra) might not being part of the post leap story. While, Ashish Sharma might be seen playing the son of Ranveer, who will be very much like his father.

As per the ongoing track, there will be major drama played on whether Fateh is Ranveer or not, post which Anu and Fateh will get married. On the other hand, Daljeet will also get married to another girl. The post jump plot will have Ranveer's son falling for Daljeet's daughter.

When sources contacted Ashish Sharma, he said, “Yes, I have heard of the leap. But I have not decided on anything as of now. I will be able to decide on whether to stay back or not only after getting to know of the story ahead.”
