The latest grapevine in small screen world is that Colors’ long running and 1000 episodes show Uttaran is finally going off air. Yes, you read it correct! The show which ruled millions of hearts with its captivating storyline and commendable cast will soon bid adieu to its audiences and the channel.

Buzz has that Colors’ is gearing up to launch some new shows to its audience and to make space for the same it has decide to pull off curtain on Filmfarm Porductions’ Uttaran. “The show has received a notice from the channel to wrap up the story by January 2014. However, there are possibilities of the show to sustain for a few more months only if the makers fetch the required TVTs,” sources said.

Pintoo Guha, producer of Filmfarm averred, “All good things have to end one day. It's a matter of TRPs after all. If audiences want to see the show for some more time, I am sure the channel will keep the show. So nothing secretive about the show as we all know that the story can't go on and on and it has to end someday. We have discussed this matter with the channel and have been told that if the show is not doing well on TVTs, then it's better to pull off the show and we will be happy with the decision they take.”

If sources are to be believed, two new shows probably, Trilogy Krikois' Vibhuti and the one starring Giaa Manek might replace Uttaran.

All we can say is Uttaran will be missed by its loyal fans.

With RK (Vivian Dsena) agreeing for the movie to be women centric that will be based on Madhu’s (Drashti Dhami) character, the plot of Colors’ popular show Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon is turning intense. As seen RK gets restricted to his seat owing to the paralytic attack that he recently suffered, he has to now let the show go on, and give his consent to changing his movie to a woman-centric plot.

But the passes of time, he will realize that Madhu is getting limelight having the mettle in her to give her best to the film. This sows the seed of insecurity in RK, who will feel really pissed off with the bizarre situation that destiny has put him in. Parallelly, Deepali (Seema Mishra) will not let a single chance to create rift between RK and Madhu. She will continuously put bad words about Madhu on RK’s ear.

Now, amidst all the high-voltage drama, Madhu will get a major shock or happiness, something that will only depend on the reaction of RK. Bollywood actress Amrita Rao’s younger sister Preetika Rao is ready to follow her sister’s footsteps, but with a different medium. She is set make her acting debut, not in Bollywood but in small screen industry with Farhan Salaruddin production show for Colors. Writer Farhan Salaruddin earlier debuted as producer with the crisp and unique show Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadunga on Imagine TV.

According to the reports he is coming with a new show on Colors that is likely to go on air along with Saurabh Tewari’s (Nautanki Telefilms) Rang Rasiya, featuring Ashish Sharma and Sanaya Irani as leads. Both shows will fill the time slot when Bigg Boss season 7 ends.

Preetika, who is said to play a Muslim girl in the show that will be based on the background of the community, has been an important find for Colors who apparently feature in Anil Kapoor’s thriller 24. As per the sources, Preetika’s work in 24 caught the eyes of the channel and the pretty looking actress suited well into the character of a Muslim girl for the new show on Colors.

The news about Sanaya Irani bagging the lead role in Saurabh Tiwari's next production spread like fire few days back in the telly world. The show is slated to air on Colors channel, where the production house’s (Nautanki Telefilms) popular show Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon is already stealing the thunder.

Now, latest is gathered that the show has been titled Rang Rasiya, which will depict a love story of a girl who madly loves a boy, but that boy denies the relationship. According to the sources, “The show is named as Rang Rasiya and will be visually very appealing. It is supposed to get the prime time slot and may go on air sometime in December after Bigg Boss Saath 7 gets over.”

The title seems to be inspired by Ketan Mehta's film based on the legendary painter Raja Ravi Verma. Going by the title the show does promise to bring additional color and add multicolored hues to the storyline of a couple. For the lead role, Sanaya Irani has been approached for the show, but nothing has been confirmed as yet. Sanaya went on a long holiday with family to the US after her last show Chhanchhan went off air.

While talking about the male lead character, Sanaya’s real life boyfriend Mohit Sehgal has been approached for the lead role. Mohit earlier played opposite Sanaya in Miley Jab Hum Tum that aired on Star One.

What you sow is what you reap. Shaurya Singhania’s (Rohit Khurana) bad karma will also lead him to the demolition in Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka, produced by Rashmi Sharma Productions.

For the unawares, Shaurya traps Jhanvi (Falak Naaz) in his fake love and gets married to her. But after consummating in the first night, he refused to accept her as his wife and discarded her from Singhania mansion. As Jhanvi had no proof to prove her being married to Shaurya, remained silent about the betraying.

But thanks to her bhabhis, Roli and Simar (Avika Gor and Dipika Samson) who investigated about the matter and found that Jhanvi is being betrayed by Shaurya, who deserves a tit for tat. They decide to make a plan and ruin Shaurya’s life in his own way. Roli has turned a super-rich single girl, named Sonia Oberoi, who attracts Shaurya’s elder sister Meghna Singhania (Shikha Singh). Roli, along with Simar, plans to get ultimate step with Meghna thoughtful about getting Sonia (that is Roli) married to her brother Shaurya.

In the episodes to come, Meghna will talk to Roli in the appearance of Sonia about her wish about getting her as the bahu of the Singhania household. Roli and Simar will thus pass out the first hurdle as they get closer to achieving their target that is to dupe Shaurya at the marriage venue. Meghna will also take up the uphill task of convincing Shaurya to wed Sonia.

However, with the entry of the real Sonia Oberoi, essayed by Shalini Sahuta who actually is the boss of Sid (Manish Raisinghania), things do seem complicated for Roli. If sources are to be believed, Roli who will be caught in a web by circumstances will agree to the proposal put in by Meghna.

Based on the American series of the same name, Anil Kapoor’s 24, has been garnering praises not only from Indian audience, industry members, family-friends or senior actors, but Hollywood has also been appreciating 24 to the core.

Anil Kapoor’ co-star and friend Tom Cruise of Mission Impossible has reportedly appeared as a helping hand for him when Anil was preparing for the role of Jai Singh Rathore, ATU chief in Indian version of 24. Cruise has also made his support public through a tweet, saying, “Follow the Man.”  This is not it, Kiefer Sutherland, who played the original Jack Bauer in 24, has extended his congratulations on the show's big launch.

Expressing his gratitude over the appreciation by his colleagues, Anil Kapoor said, “I am humbled to have received so much appreciation and support, not only from my friends in Bollywood, but also from those in Hollywood. When we brought 24 to India, we had a huge responsibility on our shoulders, to do justice to the show's format while matching international standards. Colors’ Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon has won the hearts of millions with its simple yet unique story line that stars Drashti Dhami as Madhu and Vivian Dsena as RK. The ongoing track is revolving around multiple stories, from which one story is made by Amar (Dharmesh Vyas) and Kuku (Raza Murad), who are hell-bent to ruin RK and his film.

Soon in the coming episode a mystery man close to RK and Madhu will play havoc in their lives, courtesy a plan made by Amar, who has bribed a member of RK’s unit to fulfill his deeds. The man who will remain anonymous to the audience will actually get into the shooting venue to do his work.

According to the sources, “The scene being shot in the movie will be an action sequence wherein Anamika stabs her boy friend. And as per the requirement of the scene, Madhu will be asked to stab RK. And this mystery man will in due course of time replace the fake knife with a real one. Madhu thinking the knife to be fake will stab RK right at his chest.”

Initially everybody thinks RK is doing acting but when he falls down straight to the ground Madhu and other members will run towards him. The fact that it was real knife and Madhu is the one behind the accident will shake Madhu from within. RK will be pronounced as critical in the hospital.

Morning after night is nature’s beautiful event. By getting rid of dark, the sun gives new hope, by getting rid of past, present brings new hopes in the life. These motivational lines were the last voiceover at the end of Balika Vadhu of Colors that apparently gives us a view that everything has been settled down to the right place in Jagya (Shashank Vyas), Ganga (Sriti Jha), Anandi (Toral Rasputra) and Shiv (Siddharth Shukla). Happy days are back in their life that they will cherish in the coming episodes.

While one side Shiv would be seen apologizing to Anandi, Jagya and Ganga will other side kick-start their newlywed life. There will some romantic sequence to be followed then. The Badi Haveli is set celebrate Diwali with full zeal and zest and this Diwali would be bigger celebration for them as they have their bahu Ganga with them.

The festival of lights namely Diwali will bring Shiv's family and Jagdish's family closer to each other, “While the Diwali preparations are going in full swing at both the houses, Daddu gives an idea to Kalyani devi to celebrate Ganga and Jagya's reception but puts down a condition stating that Kalyani Devi herself has to come down at their house to invite them for the special occasion,” said sources.

But well these happy times are not happy for Sanchi. Everybody seems to be upset with her. Anandi will notice everyone's weird behavior towards Sanchi and requests Daddu to give a gift to Sanchi as well. But Daddu gifts Sanchi half heartedly.

Anandi in an attempt to make Sanchi comfortable requests her to accompany her in lighting the diyas. Later Anandi tells Shiv that he shouldn't avoid Sanchi and on the occasion of Bhai-Dooj, he should celebrate the rituals with Sanchi.

Rashmi Sharma Production’s Sasural Simar Ka on Colors is getting interesting with Jhanvi (Falak Naaz) and Shaurya Singhania’s (Rohit Khurana) track, where the spoilt rich brat is hell-bent to marry Jhanvi.

In the last episode it was seen that he brought his sister Meghna (Shikha Singh) to Bhardwaj family to ask for their daughter’s hand for him. But knowing the kind of person Shaurya is, the Bharadwaj family has declined the proposal which agitated Shaurya and Meghna.

Meghna, who doesn’t want his brother to marry Jhanvi, insults Jhanvi and entire Bhardwaj family when Shaurya leaves the scene. She alleged them trapping her brother for his property and money. She also goes on to tell them that they aren’t of her statues and she’d never get her brother married in their family.

The entire fight will further cancel out Shaurya’s chances to marry Jhanvi. In the coming episodes, it would be seen that Jhanvi will meet Shaurya at a temple to explain him all that happened at her place. The team member of K9 gushes over the chemistry and understanding of Kapil and Preeti, who have together been working for Kapil’s hit show Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors channel. They even claim that Preeti is the backbone of the show. She was also associated with Comedy Circus, which happens to be Kapil's debut show. However, they have kept their three-year-old relationship fiercely guarded.

“Kapil is arguably one of the most popular television celebrities. His presence in the show will materialise into high TRPs. We are trying our best to convince him to participate in Nach Baliye, this season,” said sources.

Telly actress Tejasvi Welingker was last seen in Life OK’s much appreciated show 26/12 based on real life incident 26/11. She has now been signed to play lead role in second season of Sanskaar-Dharohar Apon Ki on Colors. The same role was earlier offered to popular actress Krystle D’Souza, but it was Tejasvi’s fate that she signed for the key role. Sanskaar 2 features Jay Soni on lead role and started to air at 7pm after replacing Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal. The entire cast and crew of the second season is same except its female lead. It was Shamin Mannan, who originally played the role of Bhoomi and the latter was replaced by Kadambari Kadam Desai. On the current track, the role of Bhoomi has ended post her accident sequence. Now, if believe the sources, the show would soon witness a grand entry of Khiladi hero Akshay Kumar and veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, who will come to promote their forthcoming action-thriller Boss.

Television actor Akshay Dogra seems to be lucky these days. After playing a prominent character in Star Plus’ hit show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, he bagged Colors’ comedy show Mrs Pammi Pyarelal. And now sources say Akshay Dogra will soon be seen essaying a vital role in Saurabh Tewari’s latest offering Do Dil Ek Jaan on Life OK.

As per the sources his entry will mark a love triangle on the show. He will start falling in love with Antara (Nikita Sharma), who is in love with Raghu (Ayaz Ahmed). “Daya Mai (Shilpa Shinde) has always been extremely protective about her son. She had sent him abroad for better studies and a brighter future. He will fall in love with Antara at first sight. And they will get married, eventually. The twist in the tale is that he will turn out to be an obsessive lover, which will create havoc in Antara's life,” reported sources.

Akshay also confirmed the news saying, “Nothing is official yet. I will only be able to confirm it in a day or two.”

Nautanki Telefilms’ intense love-story of RK (Vivian Dsena) and Madhu’s (Drashti Dhami) on Colors’ Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon is undergoing through a odd time, where docile wife sacrificing her soul to save her husband. She’s under the pressure of antagonist Sultan (Avinesh Rekhi) who is trying to play his dirty games, in attempt to get Madhu in his life.

As per the ongoing track, Madhu is finding it tough to hide her feelings towards RK and pretend to be in love with Sultan, while other side aggressive RK is trying his level best to make Madhu jealous. Channel Colors is set to celebrate this Eid with all glitz and galore and in an attempt to make the show Jashn-E-Eid enthralling they have roped in some popular bollywood and television personalities. TV actress Sanaya Irani was also the one from the selected celebrities, but unfortunately she could not make it.

According to the sources, Sanaya was assigned to perform with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 contestant Laurent Gottlieb. But things could not materialize. Buzz has that Sanaya apparently started rehearsing for the event but always had some or the other issue pertaining to her dance steps, make-up or dress.

Sources revealed, “We are used to actor tantrums. But after the rehearsals she was asked to stay for few more hours for the final shooting. She did not budge and just walked out of the sets. Before leaving she blurted that she is not like others actors who can work round the clock for money.”

To fill her exit for the act, the production house (Wizcraft) went on to rope in Sapne Suhane (Zee TV) girl, Roopal Tyagi.

Roopal confirmed being a part of the celebration. “Yes, the team called me up very late as Sanaya wasn’t going to do that act. Hence, I just had three hours to learn and rehearse before the final shoot. I was pretty nervous when I learnt about me performing with Lauren but, it went well.”

A channel spokesperson said, “Sanaya did not back out. We did approach her but she would have remained busy shooting for her show, thus could not take up our project”

Whatever it is, we have missed the chance to see Sanaya firing the stage. What do you say? Whom you want to see on stage-Sanaya or Roopal?

Disheartened RK will sign on divorce paper with Madhu in Madhubala!

Vivian Dsena (RK) and Drashti Dhami (Madhu) starrer Nautanki Telefilms’ highly appreciated show Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors, has been witnessing some high-octane drama, where the love story of duo is on the edge of separation.

Madhu is under the pressure of Sultan (Avinesh Rekhi), who wants her to divorce RK, if she wants to see him alive. Sultan is hell-bent to get his love Madhu on any condition and even went ahead to threaten her for RK’s life. In the last episode, one could notice that Madhu has taken that big step of her life and decided to divorce RK. But before she proceeds with her decision, she intends to spend some quality time with the man he loves. She asks RK to remain waken whole night with her in company.

The couple spends a night on the terrace glaring at the full-lit moon, only to be disturbed by Sultan who is watching the sight in hiding. Madhu is very emotional and wants to be as close to RK as possible for the night, as she has already decided to talk about divorce the very next morning.

But life doesn’t seem to be so easy for Madhu. The next morning, she gets a shock when the family is informed about RK’s bail getting cancelled. This only means that Sultan wants Madhu to take her decision fast.  And the moment finally comes when Madhu signs on the divorce papers.

In the coming episode, as per the Sultan’s plan, Madhu goes to meet RK in the jail and with a heavy heart, pretends as though she is fed up of this life full of uncertainties. Madhu breaks the ice and tells RK that she wants divorce, and that she does not want to live with a person of such behaviour. Also, the fact that she has been in love with Sultan stops her from having a marital life with RK. This stuns RK to no extent.

It is also informed that, disheartened RK will unwillingly let Madhu go out of his life and will sign on the divorce papers in the coming episodes.
