Star Plus’ family drama Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, produced by Director’s Kut, is still witnessing drama around Diwali celebration. Soon it will reach a high point when Singhania’s idol bahu Akshara (Hina Khan) will spread the news of her pregnancy. Yes, she will expect her second child which could mark a creative touch by the makers in the life of Akshara and Naitik (Karan Mehra).

In the coming episode, Akshara will be seen tackling her cousin Anshu (Aman Sharma) who has fallen in love with their neighbour, a cute Punjabi girl Jasmeet. Anshu is going madly in love with Jasmeet but soon he will get a speed breaker in his love-life when Akshara confronts him along with his love interest. Sources said, “At the Diwali celebrations, Akshara will be shocked to see the pair together. She will then goes ahead and confront them about their relationship.”

Akshara, being Anshu’s elder sister, will try to explain the difficulties their relationship will face with both belonging to different castes. But, Anshu will be in no mood to understand anything. This will raise tension for Akshara and tackling this issue she will realize that her health is going down. She will feel unwell and sense that she is expecting a second child. Hearing this wonderful news, Naitik will go on cloud nine. Soon the couple would head to the doctor to confirm the news.

The other day the news came out that Ather Habib, who plays Shaurya in Rajan Shahi’s show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has decided to quit the show, as he felt there was nothing new left to be explored as the character. And now, the newcomer Yash Gera has come up to play the character in the show.

Confirming his entry, Yash said, "I'm excited to replace him and see it as a challenge. It doesn't matter if people compare the two of us. What really matters is my style and acting skills."

Even though Ather’s reason to quit the show was that he failed to further the character, Yash, on the other side, said that he is going to give an altogether different dimension to it. "Every actor gives a different bend to his character and moulds it in his style. That's what makes him different from others," says he.

Now when a new actor comes on board to replace a well-established character, he is sure to garner criticism, however Yash is not worried about it, and also said that he won’t adopt Ather’s mannerisms. "I'm not going to adopt his mannerisms. I am not worried about drawing criticism for playing an already established character. I will be competing with myself," he said.

After Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Balika Vadhu, Uttaran, Pavitra Rishta and few more, the latest one to join the 1000 episode club is CID of Sony TV. The crime based series completed its 1000 episodes on 27 September, 2013. The series was premiered on 29 April 1997 and is the longest running TV series in India, having completed sixteen years in 2013.

CID has always come up with innovative ideas and has managed to win the hearts of millions every time by its power packed episodes. The 1000 episode will also not disappoint its viewers; it is known the episode will have CID investigating on a dangerous island where their life would be on stake.

Expressing notions on the feat, Shivaji Satam aka ACP, said “I am overwhelmed with the response that audience have given us. Completing 1000 episodes is really a great achievement for the whole C.I.D team. I wish and pray to keep growing in the same flow and complete more 1000 episodes. Every episode was an enjoyable experience for me and I have gained a lot of popularity from this show.”
