Defying the saying that two top actresses can never be good friends, television industry’s two famous actresses Sanaya Irani and Drashti Dhami have always shared great rapport with each other. They are best friends since they entered in television industry and always remained a supporting shoulder for each other.

We have seen Sanaya coming on the reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, where Drashti was a participant. She was seen boosting for her close pal and also danced with her in a special episode. But, soon Sanaya would be seen competing with her best friend. As Sanaya’s latest venture is with Saurabh Tewari, who is the maker of Drashti Dhami’s ongoing show Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, they might be a comparison.

Sanaya, last seen in Chhanchhan, has been finalised to play the lead in Saurabh Tewari's next on the very channel which airs Drashti's Madhubala and with their shows airing on the same channel and produced  under the same banner, they will definitely invite comparisons, report said.

According to the information, “The makers had also offered Sanaya the lead role in Do Dil Ek Jaan, but it didn't materialize. It would be interesting to see who performs better in the rating chart. The show is about a girl who believes in love. Her path crosses with a man, who doesn't believe in it.”

Does it mean Sanaya and Drashti would change their equation? We seriously wish they won’t! What you think guys?

Channel Colors is set to celebrate this Eid with all glitz and galore and in an attempt to make the show Jashn-E-Eid enthralling they have roped in some popular bollywood and television personalities. TV actress Sanaya Irani was also the one from the selected celebrities, but unfortunately she could not make it.

According to the sources, Sanaya was assigned to perform with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 contestant Laurent Gottlieb. But things could not materialize. Buzz has that Sanaya apparently started rehearsing for the event but always had some or the other issue pertaining to her dance steps, make-up or dress.

Sources revealed, “We are used to actor tantrums. But after the rehearsals she was asked to stay for few more hours for the final shooting. She did not budge and just walked out of the sets. Before leaving she blurted that she is not like others actors who can work round the clock for money.”

To fill her exit for the act, the production house (Wizcraft) went on to rope in Sapne Suhane (Zee TV) girl, Roopal Tyagi.

Roopal confirmed being a part of the celebration. “Yes, the team called me up very late as Sanaya wasn’t going to do that act. Hence, I just had three hours to learn and rehearse before the final shoot. I was pretty nervous when I learnt about me performing with Lauren but, it went well.”

A channel spokesperson said, “Sanaya did not back out. We did approach her but she would have remained busy shooting for her show, thus could not take up our project”

Whatever it is, we have missed the chance to see Sanaya firing the stage. What do you say? Whom you want to see on stage-Sanaya or Roopal?

Jhalak Dikhla Jaa , the successful dance reality show is back with Season 6. The show is all set with 3 judges and 12 contestants from various backgrounds. The contestants, some of them who are famous and some of them not so much, are coming together to compete in this exciting show on Colors.
The judges for this season are the same as the last season, choreographer Remo D’Souza, Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit and director/producer Karan Johar. However, Madhuri is said to be seen is a new avatar in Jalak Dikhla Jaa 6. They are seen in the first look of this season and they have succeeded in building immense anticipation among the viewers.
Coming to the contestants this season, they are a mixed group of people from different backgrounds; some of them are actors, some dancers, singers, models and so on. The show has been successful because of this concept alone. The interest in watching people from non-dancing background who are trying to showcase their dancing talent is very interesting to the viewers and is definitely very entertaining.

Shweta Tiwari - She has been one of the most successful actresses on television with back to back hit shows. She is also the winner of Bigg Boss 4, and is now back to compete in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Suresh Menon- Suresh Menon is a personality that has made us laugh in cinema, television and on the radio. And now, he is going to try his hand at dancing in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. We don’t know about how he’ll dance, but there will be laughs guaranteed in Jhalak!

Drashti Dhami- Does she need any introduction? She plays Madhu in Colors’ very own show Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, and is known as much for her acting skills as she is for her huge fan following.

Lauren Gottlieb- The lead actress of the dance film ABCD, Lauren is an accomplished dancer who has competed in ‘So You Think You Can Dance?’ and is sure to be a tough contender for the others.

Siddharth Shukla- Siddharth is a former model and is currently famous as Shiv in Balika Vadhu. A self-confessed non-dancer, we’re sure he’ll spring a few surprises in the show.

Aarti Chhabria- This talented actress has been seen in films like Awara Paagal Deewana and Shootout at Lokhandwala, where she has also shaken a leg on Bollywood numbers.

Eijaz Khan- This television hottie has worked in a dozen serials, and has performed in several stage shows. Eijaz Khan has also acted in several movies, which probably gives him an edge in Jhalak.

Karanvir Bohra- Karanvir is the man we all love to hate on television. Known for his bad boy attitude in the shows that he has acted in, he is now ready to rock the Jhalak stage!

Shaan- This singer cum host has been known for his soulful voice and has lent his voice to several leading men in Bollywood. And now he wishes to brush up on his dancing skills by participating in Jhalak.

Ekta Kaul- This dainty actress is best known for her successful portrayal in a daily show. With her looks and popularity, she wants to take Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa by storm!

Sonali and Sumanth- These pint sized performers wowed everyone with their stunts in India’s Got Talent-4 and emerged as winners. They might be young, but they can give the adults a run for their money!

Meghna Malik- She is best known for her portrayal of the formidable Ammaji in Na Aana Is Des Laado. After a short break, she is back to a rigorous routine with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Shweta Tiwari apart from being a great actor is also a fine dancer too. One has seen the TV actress shaking a leg at various award events of small screen. She has even danced to number of Bhojpuri songs, but now wants to try other dance forms while participating in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6.

She is presently essaying the role of Sweety Ahluwalia; mother to teenage children in TV show Sony TV’s Parvarrish - Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi. She had in the past participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye with her ex-husband Raja Chaudhary.

Speaking about JDJ, she shared, "I have seen myself dancing only to Bhojpuri tunes, but here (in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa) I want to see myself doing different dance forms. This is what I expect from myself. So that when I go out of here, I can tell people, 'Yes, I can do this and I know this (dance form) also'".

To be premiered on June 1, the new season of highly popular JDJ will have contestants in Shweta, Drashti Dhami, Karanvir Bohra, Siddharth Shukla, Shaan, Aarti Chabaria, Eijaz Khan, Suresh Menon, Shantanu Mukherjee, Ekta Kaul, Meghna Malik and Lauren Gottlieb.

As seen in the past seasons, this one too will be judged by actress Madhuri Dixit, filmmaker Karan Johar and choreographer-director Remo D'Souza.
