Watching the political conspiracy that has been arousing a lot interest among the current generation was proved with the success of Satyagraha. Now Sony TV is set to launch its new show Desh Ki Beti Nandini truly dedicated towards Indian politics and role of women in the arena. The show features Parichay fame Keerti Nagpure as Nandini with an extremely talented other star-cast. A newcomer Rafi Malik as Rajveer Raghuvanshi has been launched opposite Keerti on the show.

Talking about the concept, something unfamiliar to Indian television audience, Keerti said she prefers to stay away from Indian politics and politicians in real life. However, the actress on the other hand follows Gandhism in real life. Keerti shares, “I am not at all interested in Indian political system. Hence I always keep a hand distance from the scenario. But I respect Gandhiji and I follow his principles. Today (2nd October) is Gandhi Jayanti and I would love to remember him for what he has done for our nation.”

Produced by Rashmi Telefilms, the show replaced Sanaya Irani starrer family show Chhanchhan on Sony TV.

We wish good-luck to Keerti and entire team. Hope the alien theme will impress audience to the core.

Few days back actor Ravi Dubey was being touted as the central character in Sony TV’s upcoming show Desh Ki Beti Nandini. But latest report suggests that Bhopal-born Rafi Malik has been chosen to play the male lead role opposite Keerti Nagpure.

“We finalised Rafi for the lead role as we were looking for a fresh face. The character of Rajveer Raghuvanshi (Rafi's character) belongs to a royal family and has that sophisticated air about him. Rafi suited the character perfectly as he is from Bhopal aur usmein woh nawaabon wala tashan hai,” said sources from the show.

Graduated from the Bhopal School Of Social Sciences, Rafi was also among the finalists in Gladrags MegaModel Hunt in 2011. He is excited about the debut show and said he is happy that he has starting acting career shooting in my hometown. “I started my career as a model and I'm elated with this break. The makers were looking for a new face, and I got lucky. I was also offered a role in Mahabharat, but this interested me more as I'm playing the lead. And it's a happy coincidence for me. I'm starting my acting career shooting in my hometown. I couldn't have asked for more,” said the newbie.

It is reported that the shooting of the show, which is based on Delhi background was held in Bhopal. They captured scenes from city's malls, lakes and Shahpura's Rainbow Treat. The makers preferred to shoot in Bhopal as they found the weather of MP more pleasant. Likewise, Rainbow Treat was converted into Delhi's Paranthe Wali Galli.

One of the team members added, “The show is based in Delhi, but it becomes very difficult to shoot there outdoors because of the sultry weather. So, we've come here. Bhopal is a shooting-friendly city. In the entire schedule, we never faced any problem and things went off very smoothly.”

We wish you win many hearts Rafi!

Annie Gill is done with her part in Sony TV's Anamika!
Annie Gill, who till now was playing the lead in Anamika on Sony TV opposite Mudit Nayyar aka Jeet, is all done with her part in the daily. She has shot for her last act and post this will go on a break to her hometown.

The actress isn't keeping well for quite some time as is said to be suffering from cervical spondylosis and needs rest. Saying goodbye to the whole team of the show was indeed emotional and Annie was all teary eyed. Speaking of the same, Annie said, "I am still in tears as I can't believe I am going away. Everyone loves me so much and I am attached to the show. I was aware that Rano will have to die in the show but I am also happy that so many people love me. I never imagined there are so many people who actually want me and miss me. I don't consider myself as a great actor but I feel I act fairly well and the best part is for every actor is when you are recognized by your screen name and that impact is high."

She added, "There are fan mails, letters, face book messages asking why did I quit the show? My answer to them is I always knew that Rano would die in the show as per the script and thus its happening. I am also not keeping well as I am suffering from Cervical spondylosis and will be going home up north on 1st June to get pampered and rejuvenate. I am on break post-Anamika as I want to get well first and while shooting I couldn't rest as I stay alone here in Mumbai so I don't care for myself too much. Once I go home my mother will pamper me."

Speaking of the track, she stated, "I was shown dead in the past tracks and my spirit was wandering just to unite my family with Jeet’s family. It happened with Chavi (Shivani Surve) coming into the picture, who was the only one able to hear my voice. And now that Jeet is getting his lost happiness back, time for me to leave the world has come. Post our shot the entire cast had tears in their eyes and I also started crying. I would say that that this was indeed the best scene that I and Mudit ever shot during Anamika. Before leaving I saw my room, and also wrote tiny letters to all my co-stars and tears started rolling down my eyes. I will miss them to the core."

She concluded, "I wish the team all the very best and would like to thank my friends and fans for loving me so much as well as the production house and channel for giving me this opportunity. I am sure Rano and Jeet will be remembered."

Of course they will be! Wish you good luck and a speedy recovery Annie
