Deepika Padukone recently spoke about her first movie Om Shanti Om with Shahrukh Khan and her career from there has come a long way till Chennai Express. The actress says that Shahrukh Khan has not changed a bit until now in her six year long career. Deepika feels glad when she is called the next number 1 in the industry as she is not from a filmy background and had to start from scratch.

Making space for herself in the industry was not a cakewalk for her. She is happy to have been launced by Farah Khan and Shahrukh Khan. The actress does not know much about cinema until now as she didn’t watch too many movies. When people talk about movies around her, she feels out of place.

She also accepts of making mistakes in the industry but doesn’t regret them now.

The actress will next be seen with Shahrukh Khan again in the movie Happy New Year which will be directed by none other than Farah Khan. Deepika says that she feels secure when she is with the two of them. 

Also when asked about his relation with Ranbir Kapoor she said, “The space that we are in, it can’t get more beautiful than it already is. And I wouldn’t ever want to lose what we have today. It’s a nice space. I believe it should just be the way it is.”

Also when it came to Ranveer Singh, his co-star of Ram Leela and alleged boyfriend, she said, “People are going to, people would like to and people are more than welcome to speculate about Ranveer and me. But there’s too much goodness around me to worry about these speculations.”

Also speaking of her take on infidelity, the actress said, “I’ve always had only one take on it. I won’t accept infidelity. I’m extremely narrow-minded and conservative when it comes to relationships.”

Well, Deepika seems to be too clear with her words and we appreciate her for this.

Post holiday pictures of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were leaked and hit the headlines, the latter has been avoiding talking to media. While Ranbir seems to have moved on from the incident, Kat on the other hand is having hard time letting it go and chose to stay away from media.

Buzz stated that a few days ago Katrina was supposed to promote a Japanese branded messaging application in front of the media. The babe was offered big moolah to become the face of the product. In fact, the CEO of the Japanese company flew to India for promotions but what happened left everyone reeling in shock. The actress bluntly denied promoting the brand in the presence of the media. At the press meet organized by the brand it was announced that no journalists would be allowed and only cameraman men and photographers would be allowed to step in.

Kat preferred not to answer any personal questions, which she knew she would be asked, since it was soon after those pictures leaked, hence, decided to avoid any kind of interaction with the press. Isn’t that surprising, considering that it was after all an event to show the media a new product?

Rumours were rife once again that Kats was intentionally avoiding the media when at a recent press conference in Mumbai, the organizers of a brand that Kats endorses, called it off last minute.

We all know how professional Katrina has been over the years. Even when she was romantically involved with Salman Khan, the media hounded her with personal questions and though she always answered diplomatically, Kat never avoided the press. She faced the media with elan post her break-up with Sallu.

So we wonder why she is playing out this boycott-the-media drama now!

Even though he is known as a Casanova in B-town, but still Ranbir Kapoor claims to have a belief in true love. The actor claims that he treats love as sacred and wants to keep it on the highest pedestal. Kapoor, 30, also revealed that arrange marriage is not in his mind at all.

"Today's new generation takes its own decisions. I don't think I will go for an arranged marriage, but I am not against arranged marriages. Personally, love is very important for me. There are lots of ordinary things in life, so love should be extraordinary. I hope I achieve that," Ranbir said.

Even though he recently accepted that Katrina Kaif is special person in his life, he is not ready to admit they are in a relationship. He said, "I am single till I get married. If I am in a relationship and if I talk about it and in case my relationship doesn't work, that puts a lot of pressure on the girl and her reputation. People get very judgmental and our society judges girls a lot."

Ranbir will be soon seen in Besharam, which is directed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap, and also stars his parents Rishi and Neetu. The film features Pallavi Sharda as leading lady.

I am glad I've Shah Rukh in Chennai Express, avers Deepika Padukone!

Awaiting the release of her film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, directed by Ayan Mukerji, actress Deepika Padukone is happy to team up with Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai Express.

This is the second time the two have teamed up as earlier in 2007 Deepika made her debut in Bollywood opposite SRK with Om Shanti Om and says now she interacts with him more freely and they share a friendly equation.

Quizzed how it was to work with SRK for the second time, she said, “You know, when we did Om Shanti Om, I was a newcomer, nervous and awkward. Today, I can speak to him much more freely. Today, we share a friendly equation. Shah Rukh is a sport. Unfortunately, a lot of people don`t get his sense of humour. Shooting with him is a breeze. He lightens the atmosphere and makes everything so easy.”

On whether she faces him more confidently this time, Deepika said, “You know, unlike our other film together where there was a large cast, in Chennai Express there is an added pressure because it’s a romantic comedy where the focus throughout is on Shah Rukh and me. For two actors to carry off a comedy on their shoulders is not easy. I am glad I’ve Shah Rukh in Chennai Express to make sure I don’t flounder.”

Her film YJHD also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur. It releases this Friday!

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is extremely proud of the actors of his upcoming film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deepika and can’t stop praising the. If believe Karan, YJHD lead pair, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone create magic on-screen.

Says Karan, "If two actors have an equal creative give and take between them, it translates beautifully on the screen and engages you as an audience member. Ranbir and Deepika must work together again."

About the lead pair's emotional investment in the film, he adds, "They care enough to contribute together to create magic. Ranbir and Deepika feel strongly for director Ayan Mukerji. Their emotional investment is high."

About their roles, he says, "Deepika's character has to show two aspects of her personality — one is scholar Naina, a bookworm who hasn't had fun or seen enough of life. The other is a more evolved woman. Deepika is someone who can do both," he explains, adding, "Ranbir is a big star and there's no role he can't do. Ayan was sure he would be the best actor to play the quintessential lover boy."

On the film’s storyline, he says, "It's a film about love and friendship. There's no archaic conflict here; the conflict is internal. It's about Bunny's coming of age. It's about how he succumbs... whether he should commit to love or not."

After almost three months of brilliant journey, time has arrived for Zee TV’s maiden season of India’s Best Dramebaaz to confine with all glitz and galore. The finale episode has been shot recently in Mumbai bestowing the winner in form of Pune’s Aditya Singhal.

Yes you heard it right, 12-year-old wonder boy Aditya Singal has earned the title of India’s Best Dramebaaz leaving five competitors Anjali Astha, Chinmay Deshmukh, Mehnaaz Maan, Nihaar Gite and Praneet Sharma, below on the competition. He not only impressed all three judges- Sonali Bendre, Anurag Basu and Vivek Oberoi, but also won the hearts of audience by his talent and conventional performance.

He consistently performed well on the show and on the judgment day, he proved his mettle performing some nerve-tickling act. According to source, the finale was shot in the presence of celebrity guest Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor along with their film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani promotional event. “Aditya Singhal has finally made Pune proud by winning the series of being the best Dramebaaz. (The shoot took place yesterday). The episode will see handsome Ranbir Kapoor and beautiful Deepika Padukone gracing the finale to promote their upcoming flick, Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani.”
