Telly actress Tejasvi Welingker was last seen in Life OK’s much appreciated show 26/12 based on real life incident 26/11. She has now been signed to play lead role in second season of Sanskaar-Dharohar Apon Ki on Colors. The same role was earlier offered to popular actress Krystle D’Souza, but it was Tejasvi’s fate that she signed for the key role. It would be her first role as lead actress and her expectations are high from the show.

Sanskaar 2 features Jay Soni on lead role and started to air at 7pm after replacing Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal. The entire cast and crew of the second season is same except its female lead. It was Shamin Mannan, who originally played the role of Bhoomi and the latter was replaced by Kadambari Kadam Desai. On the current track, the role of Bhoomi has ended post her accident sequence. Soon, in the forthcoming episode the new female lead will be introduced in form of Tejasvi Welingker.

She will play the role of a simple happy go lucky girl Dhara who will enter Kishan's (Jay Soni) life. She will also have a brother. Tejasvi said, “I am very excited and feeling very responsible for the show and I wanted this show to be something which I would love to watch and I am sure this season will be much better than the previous one. This season is more active.”

The search for suitable groom by Mallika Sherawat has begun on the reality show The Bachelorette India-Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika on Life OK channel, that too in an innovative and appealing way.

In the introductory session, where all the 30 contenders were present, Mallika have to select 29 sending one contestant back home, on the basis of first impression during rose ceremony. It has turned a difficult task for the actress as she said how she can send one back only after a single interaction session. But as per the format of the show she has to complete the task.

On being asked whether in the process of selecting a companion from the top 30 contestants, will Mallika be attracted to more than one contestant, to which she replied spontaneously, “Humsafar or true love is always one. I am not Draupadi and I can't be Draupadi, who will marry more than one man. After making a dynamic appearance in comedy shows like Comedy Nights with Kapil and Comedy Circus Ke Mahabali, superstar Akshay Kumar is slated to land on the sets of SAB TV’s very popular Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma, to promote his film Boss. Patrakar Popatlal (Shyam Pathak) will attend a press conference for Boss, post which he will invite the actor to Gokuldham society

As seen, the Gokuldham society is celebrating Navratri and decided to celebrate Navratri with dholkis and shehnais, however, the society members would be unsuccessful in setting up a dholki and shehnai for playing garba. Akshay Kumar will step in at that moment and offer help, hence, resolving the issue. The actor will not only perform aarti and but also play garba with the entire cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

An excited Disha Vakani aka Daya Ben on the show said after the culmination of the shoot that they had a gala time with the actor. “This time we had decided to celebrate dandiya in a very traditional manner and besides the clothing, we also decided to get dholwala instead of a DJ to do garba. Akshay came to our rescue and brought in musicians from his event to help us celebrate.”

Daya Ben, better known as garba queen on the show, will be seen teaching Akshay Kumar how to play perfect garba.

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has issued a notice to the channel Colors against Bigg Boss season 7, as they feel the show’s content is not suitable for unrestricted public viewing.

Confirming the news, the channel have issued a statement, “Today, we have received a show cause notice on Bigg Boss from the ministry of information & broadcasting (I&B), and we shall submit our response to the same within time limit prescribed by the ministry.”

But Colors also claims that they follow a strict Standard & Practices (S&P) team that does self-regulations, which works closely with the programming team on all aspects to ensure a safe family viewing experience.

Their statement further added, “As a responsible broadcaster, we are mindful of our audiences’ sentiments and respect the guidelines set by the I & B Ministry and BCCC (Broadcasting Content Complaints Council). Last year, the format of Bigg Boss was changed to make it more parivarik (suitable for family viewing) such that it is completely suitable for viewing across ages 7 years to 70 years. The casting of the show has also been done accordingly this year as well. And our efforts of making Bigg Boss, parivarik have been applauded by all stakeholders in the broadcast industry.”

Now there are high chances that the show be shifted to a late night slot to save itself from such notices in future.  What audience can expect from the host Salman Khan, who had himself tried to change the format of the show from last season, and it indeed has worked in their favour now? Will he reprimand the housemate next week to keep their cool and stay in ethics that is a suitable for the show? Let’s see!

Breather has come for Akshay Kumar’s upcoming release Boss, as on Friday, Delhi High Court put away a PIL seeking a stay on the release of the film after its director Anthony D’Souza assured that the objectionable word in a song, sung by Yo Yo Honey Singh in the film, has been muted.

For those unaware, the decision came from a division bench of Chief Justice N.V. Ramana and Justice Manmohan. "The word in the song has been muted and the Central Board of Film Certification has issued a certificate in this regard on Oct 9," counsel for the producer told the court. The film will hit the theatres on October 16.

It is learnt that Sanjay Bhatnagar, who is a practicing lawyer, filed the PIL, through counsel R.D. Rana, who further asked how the song with vulgar lyrics was released without Censor Board's approval. The plea stated that the song sung by rapper Honey Singh had a vulgar word and it is being shown on various TV channels and other media.

Bhatnagar had sought that the release of the film gets suspended till either the words or the song is deleted completely from the film.

Loaded with complications, ego clashes and disgust rapport, the story of Shlok (Avinash Sachdeva) and Aastha (Shrenu Parekh) is traveling through rough and violent patches in Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Ek Baar Phir, produced by Sphere Origins. With a surprising tabadla held by Bigg Boss between Hell and Heaven mates, all the planning and plotting of the housemates went into frenzy. BB calls Kamya Punjabi and Kushal Tondon to the confession room and asks them to discuss with their respective housemates and with mutual consensus give one name of the person who has performed the best and one name who has performed the least in the luxury budget task.

The Jahanumwasi decided Apurva Agnihotri's name as he was brave and sporty enough to chop his hair off and Elli's name for weak performer. While other side, the heaven-mates recommended Shilpa's name for the best performer and Asif's name for the weak performer.

Twist arose when Bigg Boss announced that from the hell-side everyone except Elli will pack their bags and move to the heaven-side and on the heaven side everyone except Shilpa will move the hell side. Everyone on the hell side was happy over the decision, while everyone on the heaven side were unhappy. Only person on the heaven side who was happy was Shilpa, because her husband will be on the same side as her.

Once the swap happened, Bigg Boss announced that since Tanisha is on the hell side now, she will no longer serve as the captain of the house and a new captain will be appointed soon. Celebrations galore on the heaven side where Apurva, Sangram, Andy and Pratyusha take a dip in the swimming pool and enjoy the moment.

Disagreeing to the creative team who has decided to take the 18 year generation leap in Pavitra Rishta, the young brigade of actors like Rithvik Dhanjani, Asha Negi, Shruti Kanwar, Shakti Arora had decided to quit the show. The actors shared their dislike of playing old characters on the show, aired on Zee TV and being produced by Ekta Kapoor’s production house Balaji Telefilms.

However, latest news coming straight from the sets of Pavitra Rishta states that the young actors have changed their minds and will not leave the show post the big-fat generation leap. A month ago, Rithivik, Asha and Shruti, when Balaji announced an 18-years-leap on the show, which allow the story to shift on a completely new ground, had warned the creative team whether to introduce a new track that doesn’t show them as old characters or they will walk out from the show.      

“Rithivik, Asha and Shruti had informed the production house a month back that they are not keen on playing parents of grownup kids and hence wanted to quit the show. However, the production house has been trying to convince the actors and they have finally agreed to stay back in Pavitra Rishta,” confirmed the sources.

Post the 18 year generation leap, audience will witness the protagonist Archana (Ankita Lokhande) playing a double role.

Witnessing all these, DV was seen fuming with anger.

Now, in tonight’s episode a dance performance by DV will be seen by audience. Many young girls will get a chance to rejoice as the very good looking DV will be seen shaking a leg at the function. He will dance on the track Salaam-e-ishq and the entire family will come forward to match steps with him.

DV gets hurt by the circumstances and decide to leave the place but while going back he will see Rishi drinking alcohol secretly in the car. And back at home Sanchi’s family cheerfully will praise Rishi, DV will taunt Rishi about his boozing session. This would infuriate Rishi’s family and they will ask Sanchi to throw DV out of the house.

Now Sony TV is set to launch its new show Desh Ki Beti Nandini truly dedicated towards Indian politics and role of women in the arena. The show features Parichay fame Keerti Nagpure as Nandini with an extremely talented other star-cast. A newcomer Rafi Malik as Rajveer Raghuvanshi has been launched opposite Keerti on the show.

Talking about the concept, something unfamiliar to Indian television audience, Keerti said she prefers to stay away from Indian politics and politicians in real life. However, the actress on the other hand follows Gandhism in real life. Keerti shares, “I am not at all interested in Indian political system. Hence I always keep a hand distance from the scenario. Star Plus magnum opus Saraswatichandra has consistently been witnessing some unexpected twists and turns. Last night’s episode was one from the many high-end dramatic episodes in which Pramad was spotted as a gentleman. Pramad is currently at Kumud’s (Jennifer Winget) home to celebrate Navratre, along with Saras (Gautam Rode). He is behaving extra nice to everyone, which Saras finds weird to believe.

Pramad praises Saras in front of everyone and says he wanted to do something for him. He asks Vidyachatur to give his daughter Kusum’s (Shiny Doshi) hand for Saras aka Naveen. As everyone looks stunned at him, Saras understands that it is a gimmick and he agrees for the wedding.

In the coming episode, Saras will inform Kumud that Pramad hasn’t changed and this is his way of finding out his real intentions. Kusum will also agree to Saras’ view and they both will try to convince the idea to Kumud. Sources added, “Kumud will feel offended by this and say that is a sin for her to doubt her husband after he has shown so much positive changes in him. And she will feel that to avoid all this ongoing chaos it would be best for them to tell Saras’ truth to Pramad.”

Soon, it would be seen that lawyers will suddenly come to their house informing that they just have seven days before the house goes up for auction. Saras and Danny (Varun Kapoor) sensing the troubles will plan to help the family.

Post the miscarriage of Amita (Chandni Bhagwanani), the show Amita Ka Amit on Sony TV will ahead for a short leap sequence in which audience will get to see she is leaving her husband Amit and go away. I am doing Pavitra Rishta, anchoring a reality show and then spent a week shooting for Yeh Hai Aashiqui (YHA). Doing YHA felt as if I was shooting for a film because it was a love story with a definite ending and good script. I love to drown myself in work. I pray to god to keep me busy and let me do good work.”

Divulging on the fact that he may walk out from Pavitra Rishta after it takes a big-fat generation leap, Rithvik said, “The talks are on with makers. The story has to be convincing enough for me so that I can take up a matured character, because I don't think I'll be able to do justice to an elderly role. Though I am an actor and I should try it but, I guess my performance is so full of energy that I won't look convincing as a teenager's father.”

Television actor Mohit Raina seems to have become synonymous to the character of Lord Shiva playing it commendably in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, as he has also been appointed to reprise this role in Star Plus’ magnum opus Mahabharat, produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary. Mohit says it feels great to be part of this epic series.

An excited Mohit said, “It feels good to be a part of Mahabharat. I was an avid follower of the original series. So, it was a great opportunity to become part of the ongoing edition. I shot for a few hours and it was a great experience. I wish them all the best.”

Upon being asked if given chance what he would like to act in the historical saga. He averred, “I would like to play Karna because, the complexities of this character intrigues me. He is commonly perceived as the anti-hero yet he did everything like the real hero of a story. From being a suta putra to becoming the king of Angad and the realisation of his lineage -- that he is the eldest Pandava -- he bore all his curses with elan and roared like a lion on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. If it wasn't for the politics and manipulation, he would have remained unbeatable. Hence, it would have been a real challenge to get to play him. Also, some people think after Shiva, I'm an ideal Karna.”

Television actor Akshay Dogra seems to be lucky these days. After playing a prominent character in Star Plus’ hit show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, he bagged Colors’ comedy show Mrs Pammi Pyarelal. And now sources say Akshay Dogra will soon be seen essaying a vital role in Saurabh Tewari’s latest offering Do Dil Ek Jaan on Life OK.

As per the sources his entry will mark a love triangle on the show. He will start falling in love with Antara (Nikita Sharma), who is in love with Raghu (Ayaz Ahmed). “Daya Mai (Shilpa Shinde) has always been extremely protective about her son. She had sent him abroad for better studies and a brighter future. He will fall in love with Antara at first sight. And they will get married, eventually. The twist in the tale is that he will turn out to be an obsessive lover, which will create havoc in Antara's life,” reported sources.

Akshay also confirmed the news saying, “Nothing is official yet. I will only be able to confirm it in a day or two.”
