Crime Patrol to bring Nirbhaya's case on screen!

Sony TV’s real-life crime based show Crime Patrol will soon bring an episode on the December 16 Delhi gang-rape. According to the sources, the makers of the show were planning to showcase this brutal gang-rape case to the audience to bring awareness, but they were waiting for the final verdict in the case to be out.

A source said, “The verdict is out, so the channel is planning to air the episode, and will also include the fact that the accused have been convicted. Earlier, the channel was restrained from airing the episode by the BCCC (Broadcasting Content Complaints Council) till the verdict was given. Prior to BCCC, the I&B Ministry had informally asked the channel to not air the episode,” reported sources.

Meanwhile, about the case, a special Delhi court on Tuesday found four men guilty of gang-raping and murdering a 23-year-old paramedical student in a moving bus here in December last year, a case that evoked nationwide outrage and led the government to bring in stringent anti-rape laws.
